English Translation

Harami ibn 'Umarah narrated from Murajja ibn Raja', from 'Ubaydullah ibn Abi Bakr ibn Anas, from Anas ibn Malik (رضي الله عنه) who said: the Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to say: 'Do not make things difficult for yourselves, lest it be made difficult for you. A people made things difficult for themselves, and it was made difficult for them. Those are their remnants in the monasteries and hermitages: {Monasticism, which they innovated; We did not prescribe it for them} [al-Hadid 57:27].'
