English Translation

Abu 'Ubaydah narrated to us from Hammam, from Qatadah who said: We used to visit Anas (رضي الله عنه) while his baker was standing by. One day he said to us: 'Eat, for I do not know that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ ever saw a thin flatbread with his own eyes, nor did he ever eat roasted meat until he met Allah (عز وجل).'
