Muhammad ibn Ja'far narrated to us: Shu'bah narrated to us from Abu al-Tayyah — and Hajjaj said: I heard Shu'bah from Abu al-Tayyah — he said: I heard Anas ibn Malik (رضي الله عنه) narrating that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to pray the Dhuhr prayer when the sun declined from its zenith, and the 'Asr prayer between the time of your two prayers — meaning Dhuhr and Maghrib — and the Maghrib prayer when the sun had set. And the 'Isha' prayer — he would sometimes delay it until a third of the night, and sometimes he would not dislike praying it at the time of its calling. And the Subh (Fajr) prayer — from the break of dawn until the light spread, and the recitation would be between sixty and one hundred verses.
