Arabic Text
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ يَعْنِي ابْنَ مَهْدِيٍّ عَنْ حَمَّادِ بْنِ سَلَمَةَ عَنْ ثَا
بِتٍ عَنْ أَنَسٍ عَنْ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ يُؤْتَى بِالرَّجُلِ مِنْ أَهْلِ الْجَنَّةِ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ فَيَقُولُ اللَّهُ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ يَا ابْنَ آدَمَ كَيْفَ وَجَدْتَ مَنْزِلَكَ فَيَقُولُ يَا رَبِّ خَيْرَ مَنْزِلٍ فَيَقُولُ سَلْ وَتَمَنَّهْ فَيَقُولُ مَا أَسْأَلُ وَأَتَمَنَّى إِلَّا أَنْ تَرُدَّنِي إِلَى الدُّنْيَا فَأُقْتَلَ فِي سَبِيلِكَ عَشْرَ مَرَّاتٍ لِمَا يَرَى مِنْ فَضْلِ الشَّهَادَةِ

English Translation
'Abd al-Rahman — meaning Ibn Mahdi — narrated to us from Hammad ibn Salamah, from Thabit, from Anas (رضي الله عنه), from the Prophet ﷺ who said: 'A man from the people of Paradise will be brought on the Day of Resurrection, and Allah (عز وجل) will say: O son of Adam, how do you find your abode? He will say: O Lord, it is the best abode. Allah will say: Ask and wish. He will say: I ask You to return me to the world so that I may be killed in Your cause ten times — because of what he sees of the honor of martyrdom.'
