ورٍ عَنْ طَلْحَةَ بْنِ مُصَرِّفٍ عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ قَالَ كَانَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَرَى التَّمْرَةَ فَلَوْلَا أَنَّهُ يَخْشَى أَنْ تَكُونَ صَدَقَةً لَأَكَلَهَا

English Translation

'Abd al-Rahman ibn Mahdi narrated to us: Sufyan narrated to us from Mansur, from Talhah ibn Musarrif, from Anas ibn Malik (رضي الله عنه) who said: 'the Prophet ﷺ would see a date fallen on the ground and, were it not that he feared it might be from charity, he would have eaten it.'
