سِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ هَذَا ابْنُ آدَمَ وَهَاهُنَا أَجَلُهُ وَثَمَّ أَمَلُهُ وَقَدَّمَ عَفَّانُ يَدَهُ

English Translation

Hammad ibn Salamah narrated to us: 'Ubaydullah ibn Abi Bakr informed us from Anas ibn Malik (رضي الله عنه) that the Prophet ﷺ said: 'This is the son of Adam, and here is his appointed death, and there are his hopes.' And 'Affan extended his hand far — meaning the hopes reach far beyond the appointed death.
