حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ أَخْبَرَنَا حُمَيْدٌ الطَّوِيلُ عَنْ أَنَسٍ قَالَ سُئِلَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَنْ وَقْتِ صَلَاةِ الصُّبْحِ قَالَ فَأَمَرَ بِلَالًا حِينَ طَلَعَ الْفَجْرُ فَأَقَا
مَ الصَّلَاةَ ثُمَّ أَسْفَرَ مِنْ الْغَدِ حَتَّى أَسْفَرَ ثُمَّ قَالَ أَيْنَ السَّائِلُ عَنْ وَقْتِ صَلَاةِ الْغَدَاةِ مَا بَيْنَ هَاتَيْنِ أَوْ قَالَ هَذَيْنِ وَقْتٌ
English Translation
Isma'il informed us from Humayd al-Tawil, from Anas (رضي الله عنه) who said: the Messenger of Allah ﷺ was asked about the time of the Fajr prayer. He ordered Bilal to call the prayer when dawn broke, and he established the prayer. Then the next day he delayed it until it was well-lit. Then he said: 'Where is the one who asked about the time of the prayer? The time is between these two.'
