حَدَّثَنَا حَسَنٌ حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ لَهِيعَةَ حَدَّثَنَا بَكْرُ بْنُ سَوَادَةَ عَنْ وَفَاءٍ الْخَوْلَانِيِّ عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ قَالَ بَيْنَمَا نَحْنُ نَقْرَأُ فِينَا الْع
َرَبِيُّ وَالْعَجَمِيُّ وَالْأَسْوَدُ وَالْأَبْيَضُ إِذْ خَرَجَ عَلَيْنَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقَالَ أَنْتُمْ فِي خَيْرٍ تَقْرَءُونَ كِتَابَ اللَّهِ وَفِيكُمْ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَسَيَأْتِي عَلَى النَّاسِ زَمَانٌ يَثْقَفُونَهُ كَمَا يَثْقَفُونَ الْقَدَحَ يَتَعَجَّلُونَ أُجُورَهُمْ وَلَا يَتَأَجَّلُونَهَا

English Translation
Hasan narrated to us: Ibn Lahi'ah narrated to us: Bakr ibn Sawadah narrated to us from Wafa' al-Khawlani, from Anas ibn Malik (رضي الله عنه) who said: 'While we were reciting — among us the Arab and the non-Arab, the black and the white — the Messenger of Allah ﷺ came out upon us and said: You are in a blessed state — you are reciting the Book of Allah, and among you is the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. There will come a time upon people when they will straighten their recitation as one straightens an arrow, seeking its reward quickly and not delaying it.'
