‏ ‏حَدَّثَنَا ‏ ‏عَبْدُ الصَّمَدِ ‏ ‏وَعَفَّانُ ‏ ‏قَالَا حَدَّثَنَا ‏ ‏حَمَّادٌ ‏ ‏حَدَّثَنَا ‏ ‏ثَابِتٌ ‏ ‏عَنْ ‏ ‏أَنَسٍ ‏ ‏أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ‏ ‏صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ‏ ‏كَانَ يَقُولُ يَوْمَ ‏ ‏أُحُدٍ ‏ ‏اللَّهُمَّ إِنَّكَ إِنْ تَشَأْ أَنْ لَا تُعْبَدَ فِي الْأَرْضِ ‏

English Translation

Abd al-Samad and 'Affan narrated to us, they said: Hammad narrated to us, Thabit narrated to us, from Anas (رضي الله عنه), that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to say on the day of Uhud: 'O Allah, if You will that You are not worshipped on earth [then let it be as You will].' — meaning supplicating to Allah عز وجل for victory and support for the believers.
