Hadith #442
Arabic Text
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الصَّمَدِ وَعَفَّانُ قَالَا حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادٌ حَدَّثَنَا ثَابِتٌ عَنْ أَنَسٍ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانَ يَقُولُ يَوْمَ أُحُدٍ اللَّهُمَّ إِنَّكَ إِنْ تَشَأْ أَنْ لَا تُعْبَدَ فِي الْأَرْضِ
English Translation
Abd al-Samad and 'Affan narrated to us, they said: Hammad narrated to us, Thabit narrated to us, from Anas (رضي الله عنه), that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to say on the day of Uhud: 'O Allah, if You will that You are not worshipped on earth [then let it be as You will].' — meaning supplicating to Allah عز وجل for victory and support for the believers.
