حَدَّثَنَا حُسَيْنٌ وَعَفَّانُ قَالَا حَدَّثَنَا خَلَفُ بْنُ خَلِيفَةَ حَ
دَّثَنِي حَفْصُ بْنُ عُمَرَ عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ قَالَ كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَأْمُرُ بِالْبَاءَةِ وَيَنْهَى عَنْ التَّبَتُّلِ نَهْيًا شَدِيدًا وَيَقُولُ تَزَوَّجُوا الْوَدُودَ الْوَلُودَ إِنِّي مُكَاثِرٌ الْأَنْبِيَاءَ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ

English Translation
Husayn and 'Affan narrated to us, they said: Khalaf ibn Khalifah narrated to us, Hafs ibn 'Umar narrated to me, from Anas ibn Malik (رضي الله عنه) who said: the Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to enjoin marriage (al-ba'ah) and strongly forbid celibacy (al-tabattul). He would say: 'Marry the loving, fertile woman, for I shall outnumber the nations through you on the Day of Resurrection.'
