Arabic Text
حَدَّثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ حَدَّثَنَا الْحَارِثُ بْنُ عُمَيْرٍ عَنْ حُمَيْدٍ الطَّوِيلِ عَنْ أَنَسٍ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانَ إِذَا قَدِمَ مِنْ سَفَرٍ فَنَظَرَ إِلَى جُدُرَاتِ الْمَدِينَةِ أَوْضَعَ نَاقَتَهُ وَإِنْ كَانَ عَلَى دَابَّةٍ حَرَّكَهَا مِنْ حُبِّهَا
English Translation
Ibrahim narrated to us, al-Harith ibn 'Umayr narrated to us, from Humayd al-Tawil, from Anas (رضي الله عنه), that the Prophet ﷺ, when returning from a journey and looking at the walls of Madinah, would urge his camel forward. If he was on an animal, he would spur it on, out of his love for it — meaning Madinah.
