حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ حَدَّثَنَا مَعْمَرٌ عَنْ قَتَادَةَ فِي قَوْلِهِ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ { وَظِلٍّ مَمْدُودٍ } عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّه

ُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ إِنَّ فِي الْجَنَّةِ شَجَرَةً يَسِيرُ الرَّاكِبُ فِي ظِلِّهَا مِائَةَ عَامٍ لَا يَقْطَعُهَا قَالَ مَعْمَرٌ وَأَخْبَرَنِي مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ زِيَادٍ أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ يَقُولُهُ عَنْ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَيَقُولُ أَبُو هُرَيْرَةَ وَاقْرَءُوا إِنْ شِئْتُمْ { وَظِلٍّ مَمْدُودٍ }

English Translation

Abd al-Razzaq narrated to us, Ma'mar narrated to us, from Qatadah, regarding the saying of Allah عز وجل: {And extended shade} — from Anas ibn Malik (رضي الله عنه), that the Prophet ﷺ said: 'In Paradise there is a tree under whose shade a rider would travel for a hundred years without crossing it.'
