‏ ‏حَدَّثَنَا ‏ ‏يَحْيَى ‏ ‏عَنْ ‏ ‏التَّيْمِيِّ ‏ ‏عَنْ ‏ ‏أَنَسٍ ‏ ‏أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ‏ ‏صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ‏ ‏كَانَ يَقُولُ ‏ ‏اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْ الْعَجْزِ وَالْكَسَلِ ‏ ‏وَالْهَرَمِ ‏ ‏وَالْبُخْلِ وَالْجُبْنِ وَأَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْ عَذَابِ الْقَبْرِ وَقَدْ ذَكَرَ فِيهِ الْمَحْيَا وَالْمَمَاتَ ‏

English Translation

Yahya narrated from al-Taymi, from Anas (رضي الله عنه) that the Prophet ﷺ used to say: 'O Allah, I seek refuge in You from incapacity, laziness, old age, miserliness, and cowardice. And I seek refuge in You from the punishment of the grave.' And he mentioned in it: 'And from the trial of living and dying.'
