حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ قَتَادَةَ يُحَدِّثُ عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ وَلَا أَدْرِي أَشَيْءٌ أُنْزِلَ أَوْ كَانَ يَقُولُهُ لَوْ أَنَّ لِابْنِ آدَمَ وَادِيَيْنِ مِنْ مَالٍ لَتَمَنَّى أَوْ ل
َابْتَغَى وَادِيًا ثَالِثًا وَلَا يَمْلَأُ جَوْفَ ابْنِ آدَمَ إِلَّا التُّرَابُ وَيَتُوبُ اللَّهُ عَلَى مَنْ تَابَ حَدَّثَنَا حَجَّاجٌ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي شُعْبَةُ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ قَتَادَةَ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ أَنَسًا قَالَ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ فَلَا أَدْرِي أَشَيْءٌ أُنْزِلَ عَلَيْهِ فَذَكَرَهُ

English Translation
Muhammad ibn Ja'far narrated to us, Shu'bah narrated to us, he said: I heard Qatadah narrating from Anas ibn Malik (رضي الله عنه) who said: I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say — and I do not know whether it was something revealed or something he used to say: 'If the son of Adam had a valley of gold, he would want a second. And nothing fills the belly of the son of Adam except dust. And Allah accepts the repentance of whoever repents.'
