حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ أَخْبَرَنَا شُعْبَةُ وَحَجَّاجٌ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي شُعْبَةُ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ قَتَادَةَ يُحَدِّثُ عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّم

َ قَالَ إِنَّ الْأَنْصَارَ كَرِشِي وَعَيْبَتِي وَإِنَّ النَّاسَ سَيَكْثُرُونَ وَيَقِلُّونَ فَاقْبَلُوا مِنْ مُحْسِنِهِمْ وَاعْفُوا عَنْ مُسِيئِهِمْ وَقَالَ حَجَّاجٌ عَنْ مُسِيِّهِمْ

English Translation

Muhammad ibn Ja'far informed us, Shu'bah informed us — and Hajjaj said: Shu'bah narrated to me — he said: I heard Qatadah narrating from Anas ibn Malik (رضي الله عنه) that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'The Ansar are my inner circle and my trusted ones. People will increase while they decrease, so accept from their good-doers and overlook their wrong-doers.'
