حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامٌ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْمَلِكِ حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامٌ عَنْ قَتَادَةَ عَنْ أَنَسٍ قَالَ جَاءَ رَجُلٌ أَوْ أَعْرَابِيٌّ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقَالَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ مَتَى
السَّاعَةُ قَالَ وَمَا أَعْدَدْتَ لَهَا قَالَ مَا أَعْدَدْتُ لَهَا إِلَّا أَنِّي أُحِبُّ اللَّهَ وَرَسُولَهُ فَقَالَ أَنْتَ مَعَ مَنْ أَحْبَبْتَ قَالَ أَنَسٌ فَمَا رَأَيْتُ الْمُسْلِمِينَ فَرِحُوا بِشَيْءٍ بَعْدَ الْإِسْلَامِ أَشَدَّ مَا فَرِحُوا يَوْمَئِذٍ

English Translation
Hisham narrated to us, 'Abd al-Malik narrated to us, Hisham narrated to us, from Qatadah, from Anas (رضي الله عنه) who said: A man — or a Bedouin — came to the Prophet ﷺ and said: 'O Messenger of Allah, when is the Hour?' He said: 'And what have you prepared for it?' He said: 'The love of Allah and His Messenger.' He ﷺ said: 'You will be with those whom you love.' Anas said: We had never been so glad about anything after Islam as we were when the Prophet ﷺ said: 'You will be with those whom you love.' Anas said: So I love the Prophet ﷺ, Abu Bakr, and 'Umar, and I hope to be with them because of my love for them, even if I have not done the like of their deeds.
