English Translation
Sahl ibn Yusuf narrated to us, from Humayd, who said: Anas ibn Malik (رضي الله عنه) was asked: 'Did the Messenger of Allah ﷺ dye his hair?' He said: 'No, gray hair had not marred his appearance.' It was said: 'O Abu Hamzah, is gray hair a blemish?' He said: 'All of you dislike it. But what I saw of gray on the Messenger of Allah ﷺ was not more than seventeen white hairs in his head and beard.'
