حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ عَنْ أَبِي ال

تَّيَّاحِ الضُّبَعِيِّ عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ وَهُوَ يُنَاوِلُ أَصْحَابَهُ وَهُمْ يَبْنُونَ الْمَسْجِدَ أَلَا إِنَّ الْعَيْشَ عَيْشُ الْآخِرَهْ فَاغْفِرْ لِلْأَنْصَارِ وَالْمُهَاجِرَهْ

English Translation

Waki' narrated to us, Hammad ibn Salamah narrated to us, from Abu al-Tayyah al-Duba'i, from Anas ibn Malik (رضي الله عنه) who said: I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ saying while passing bricks to his Companions as they were building the mosque: 'Indeed, the only real life is the life of the Hereafter, so forgive the Ansar and the Muhajirah.'
