‏ ‏حَدَّثَنَا ‏ ‏أَبُو كَامِلٍ ‏ ‏أَنْبَأَنَا ‏ ‏حَمَّادٌ ‏ ‏قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا ‏ ‏قَتَادَةُ ‏ ‏وَثَابِتٌ ‏ ‏وَحُمَيْدٌ ‏ ‏عَنْ ‏ ‏أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ ‏ ‏أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ‏ ‏صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ‏ ‏وَأَبَا بَكْرٍ ‏ ‏وَعُمَرَ ‏ ‏وَعُثْمَانَ ‏ ‏كَانُوا ‏ ‏يَسْتَفْتِحُونَ الْقُرْآنَ ‏ ‏بِالْحَمْدِ لِلَّهِ رَبِّ الْعَالَمِينَ ‏

English Translation

Abu Kamil narrated to us, Hammad informed us, he said: Qatadah, Thabit, and Humayd informed us, from Anas ibn Malik (رضي الله عنه), that the Prophet ﷺ, Abu Bakr, 'Umar, and 'Uthman (رضي الله عنهم) used to begin the recitation with Al-Hamdu lillahi Rabb al-'Alamin (Praise be to Allah, Lord of the Worlds).
