Arabic Text
حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى عَنْ حُمَيْدٍ عَنْ أَنَسٍ قَالَ لَمَّا رَجَعْنَا مِنْ غَزْوَةِ تَبُوكَ قَالَ عَلَيْهِ الصَّلَاة وَالسَّلَامُ إِنَّ بِالْمَدِينَةِ أَقْوَامًا
مَا قَطَعْتُمْ وَادِيًا وَلَا سِرْتُمْ مَسِيرًا إِلَّا شَرَكُوكُمْ فِيهِ قَالُوا وَهُمْ بِالْمَدِينَةِ قَالَ حَبَسَهُمْ الْعُذْرُ

English Translation
Yahya narrated to us, from Humayd, from Anas (رضي الله عنه) who said: When we returned from the expedition of Tabuk, he ﷺ said: 'There are people in Madinah who, wherever you traveled and whatever valley you crossed, were with you in it.' They said: 'While they were in Madinah?' He said: 'While they were in Madinah. They were held back by a valid excuse.'
