حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامٌ حَدَّثَنَا قَتَادَةُ عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَأَبَا بَكْرٍ وَعُمَرَ وَعُثْمَانَ كَانُوا يَفْتَتِحُونَ الْقِرَاءَةَ بِالْحَمْدِ لِلَّهِ رَبِّ الْعَالَمِينَ
English Translation
Yahya narrated to us, Hisham narrated to us, Qatadah narrated to us, from Anas ibn Malik (رضي الله عنه) that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, Abu Bakr, 'Umar, and 'Uthman (رضي الله عنهم) used to begin the recitation with 'Al-hamdu lillahi Rabb al-'Alamin' [Praise be to Allah, Lord of the Worlds].
