‏ ‏حَدَّثَنَا ‏ ‏عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ مَهْدِيٍّ ‏ ‏حَدَّثَنَا ‏ ‏هِشَامٌ ‏ ‏عَنِ ‏ ‏أَبِي عِصَامٍ ‏ ‏عَنْ ‏ ‏أَنَسٍ ‏ ‏أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ‏ ‏صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ‏ ‏كَانَ ‏ ‏يَتَنَفَّسُ فِي الْإِنَاءِ ثَلَاثًا وَيَقُولُ هُوَ أَهْنَأُ ‏ ‏وَأَمْرَأُ ‏ ‏وَأَبْرَأُ ‏

English Translation

'Abd al-Rahman ibn Mahdi narrated to us, Hisham narrated to us, from Abu 'Isam, from Anas (رضي الله عنه) that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to breathe three times in the vessel when drinking and would say: 'It is more quenching, more wholesome, and more healthful.'
