Hadith #325

حَدَّثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ خَالِدٍ حَدَّثَنَا رَبَاحٌ حَدَّثَنَا مَعْمَرٌ عَنْ قَتَادَةَ ع
َنْ أَنَسٍ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ يَكُونُ فِي أُمَّتِي اخْتِلَافٌ وَفُرْقَةٌ يَخْرُجُ مِنْهُمْ قَوْمٌ يَقْرَءُونَ الْقُرْآنَ لَا يُجَاوِزُ تَرَاقِيَهُمْ سِيمَاهُمْ الْحَلْقُ وَالتَّسْبِيتُ فَإِذَا رَأَيْتُمُوهُمْ فَأَنِيمُوهُمْ التَّسْبِيتُ يَعْنِي اسْتِئْصَالَ الشَّعْرِ الْقَصِيرِ

English Translation
Anas (رضي الله عنه) narrated: the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "There will be dissension and division in my ummah. A people will emerge who recite the Quran but it will not go beyond their throats. Their mark is that they shave [their heads]. Kill them, for they are the worst of creation. Blessed are those who fight them and are killed by them. They call to the Book of Allah, but they have nothing to do with it. Whoever fights them is closer to Allah than they are." They said: "O Messenger of Allah, what is their mark?" He said: "Shaving."
