English Translation
Marwan, the freed slave of Hind bint al-Muhallab, narrated: Hind sent me to Anas ibn Malik (رضي الله عنه) to ask him about the staining of skin from henna. He said: "A woman came to the Prophet ﷺ and offered herself in marriage to him. She said: 'Will you not marry me?' His daughter [in-law] said: 'How little is her modesty!' Anas said: [the Prophet ﷺ] said: 'She is better than you — she desired the Prophet ﷺ and offered herself to him.'"
