حَدَّثَنَا الْوَلِيدُ بْنُ مُسْلِمٍ حَدَّثَنَا الْأَوْزَاعِيُّ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي يَحْيَى بْنُ أَبِي كَثِير
ٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو قِلَابَةَ الْجَرْمِيُّ عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ قَالَ قَدِمَ عَلَى النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ثَمَانِيَةُ نَفَرٍ مِنْ عُكْلٍ فَأَسْلَمُوا فَاجْتَوَوْا الْمَدِينَةَ فَأَمَرَهُمْ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنْ يَأْتُوا إِبِلَ الصَّدَقَةِ فَيَشْرَبُوا مِنْ أَبْوَالِهَا وَأَلْبَانِهَا فَفَعَلُوا فَصَحُّوا فَارْتَدُّوا وَقَتَلُوا رُعَاتَهَا أَوْ رِعَاءَهَا وَسَاقُوهَا فَبَعَثَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي طَلَبِهِمْ قَافَةً فَأُتِيَ بِهِمْ فَقَطَّعَ أَيْدِيَهُمْ وَأَرْجُلَهُمْ وَلَمْ يَحْسِمْهُمْ حَتَّى مَاتُوا وَسَمَلَ أَعْيُنَهُمْ

English Translation
Anas ibn Malik (رضي الله عنه) narrated: Eight people from the tribe of 'Ukl came to the Prophet ﷺ and gave him their pledge on Islam. But the climate of Madinah did not suit them and they fell ill. They complained about that to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, and he said: "Will you not go out with our herdsman to his camels and drink from their milk and urine?" They said: "Yes." So they went and drank from their milk and urine, and they recovered. Then they killed the herdsman and drove away the camels. the Prophet ﷺ sent men after them, and they were brought back. He had their hands and feet cut off and their eyes branded with heated iron nails, and they were left in the stony ground of Madinah, biting the stones [in agony].
