English Translation
Anas ibn Malik (رضي الله عنه) narrated: the Messenger of Allah ﷺ saw mucus on the qiblah wall of the mosque and scraped it off. Displeasure was visible on his face, and he said: "When a servant stands in prayer, he is conversing intimately with his Lord. So let none of you spit toward his qiblah. Let him spit to his left or beneath his feet." Then he took a corner of his garment, spat in it, folded it, and said: "Or let him do like this."
