English Translation

Anas (رضي الله عنه) narrated: On the day of Uhud, the front tooth of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ was broken and his face was wounded. Blood flowed down his face, and he wiped the blood away saying: "How can a people prosper who wound the face of their Prophet while he calls them to Allah?" Then Allah revealed: 'It is not for you to decide whether He turns in mercy to them or punishes them' [3:128].
