حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الصَّمَدِ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ يَعْنِي ابْنَ أَبِي بَكْرٍ الْمُزَنِيَّ حَدَّثَنَا

عَطَاءُ بْنُ أَبِي مَيْمُونَةَ قَالَ وَلَا أَعْلَمُهُ إِلَّا عَنْ أَنَسٍ قَالَ مَا رُفِعَ إِلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَمْرٌ فِيهِ الْقِصَاصُ إِلَّا أَمَرَ فِيهِ بِالْعَفْوِ

English Translation
Anas (رضي الله عنه) narrated: No matter was ever brought to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ in which the option of leniency existed except that he chose leniency over harshness, as long as there was no sin involved.
