‏ ‏حَدَّثَنَا ‏ ‏عَبْدُ الصَّمَدِ ‏ ‏حَدَّثَنَا ‏ ‏عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى ‏ ‏عَنْ ‏ ‏ثُمَامَةَ ‏ ‏عَنْ ‏ ‏أَنَسٍ ‏ ‏أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ‏ ‏صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ‏ ‏كَانَ ‏ ‏إِذَا تَكَلَّمَ بِكَلِمَةٍ رَدَّدَهَا ثَلَاثًا وَإِذَا أَتَى قَوْمًا فَسَلَّمَ عَلَيْهِمْ سَلَّمَ عَلَيْهِمْ ثَلَاثًا ‏

English Translation

Anas (رضي الله عنه) narrated: the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, when he spoke a word, would repeat it three times so that it would be understood from him. And when he came to a group of people, he would greet them three times.
