حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَكْرٍ أَخْبَرَنَا سَعِيدٌ عَنْ قَتَادَةَ عَنْ أَنَس

ٍ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ إِذَا كَانَ أَحَدُكُمْ فِي صَلَاتِهِ فَلَا يَتْفُلْ أَمَامَهُ وَلَا عَنْ يَمِينِهِ فَإِنَّهُ يُنَاجِي رَبَّهُ وَلْيَتْفُلْ عَنْ يَسَارِهِ أَوْ تَحْتَ قَدَمِهِ

English Translation

Muhammad ibn Bakr narrated to us, Sa'id informed us, from Qatadah, from Anas (رضي الله عنه) that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'When one of you is in his prayer, let him not spit in front of him nor to his right, for he is in private conversation with his Lord.'
