English Translation
Abu Sa'id, the freed slave of Banu Hashim, narrated to us, Abdullah ibn al-Muthanna narrated to us, he said I heard Thumamah ibn Anas mentioning that Anas (رضي الله عنه), when he spoke, would repeat his words three times. And he mentioned that the Prophet ﷺ, when he spoke, would repeat his words three times so that they could be understood from him, and when he came upon a people, he would greet them with salam three times.
