English Translation

Abdullah ibn al-Harith narrated to us, he said Salamah ibn Wardan narrated to me that Anas ibn Malik (رضي الله عنه), the Companion of the Prophet ﷺ, narrated to him that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ asked a man from his Companions, 'Have you married, O so-and-so?' He said, 'No, by Allah, O Messenger of Allah, and I do not have the means to marry.' He said, 'Do you not know Qul Huwa Allahu Ahad (Say: He is Allah, the One)?' He said, 'Yes.' He said, 'It is one-third of the Quran. Do you not know Idha Ja'a Nasrullahi wal-Fath (When the victory of Allah comes)?' He said, 'Yes.' He said, 'It is one-quarter of the Quran. Do you not know Qul Ya Ayyuhal-Kafirun (Say: O disbelievers)?' He said, 'Yes.' He said, 'It is one-quarter of the Quran. Do you not know Idha Zulzilat (When the earth is shaken)?' He said, 'Yes.' He said, 'It is one-quarter of the Quran. Marry, marry!'
