English Translation

Ubaydullah ibn Abi Qurrah narrated to us, Sulayman ibn Bilal narrated to us, from Sharik, that he heard Anas ibn Malik (رضي الله عنه) saying: I never prayed behind an imam lighter in prayer yet more complete than the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. If he heard a child crying, he would shorten the prayer, fearing that the child's mother might be distressed.
