English Translation
Muhammad ibn Abdullah narrated to us, Humayd narrated to us, from Anas ibn Malik (رضي الله عنه) who said: the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'When I came to Madinah, the people of Madinah had two days on which they would play. I said, "What are these two days?" They said, "We used to play on these days in the pre-Islamic period." the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Allah has replaced them for you with two better days: the Day of al-Adha and the Day of al-Fitr."'
