English Translation
Hasan narrated to us, Shayban narrated to us, from Qatadah, from Anas ibn Malik (رضي الله عنه) who said: 'the Prophet ﷺ of Allah (ﷺ) was invited one day to eat barley bread and rancid fat.' He said: 'And I heard him say one day many times: By the One in Whose Hand is the soul of Muhammad, the family of Muhammad has never had even a sa' of grain or a sa' of dates' — and he had nine wives at that time.
