English Translation
Hasan and 'Affan narrated to us — with the same meaning — they said: Hammad ibn Salamah narrated to us, Thabit al-Bunani informed us, from Anas ibn Malik (رضي الله عنه) who said: the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'When Allah (عز وجل) formed Adam, He left him as long as Allah willed to leave him. Iblis began circling around him, examining him. When he saw that he was hollow, he knew that he was a creation that could not control himself.'
