حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو سَلَمَةَ أَخْبَرَنَا مَالِكٌ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ أَبِي بَكْرٍ الثَّقَفِيِّ أَنَّهُ سَأَلَ أَنَسَ بْنَ مَالِكٍ وَهُمَا غَادِيَانِ إِلَى عَر
َفَةَ كَيْفَ كُنْتُمْ تَصْنَعُونَ فِي هَذَا الْيَوْمِ مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ كَانَ يُهِلُّ الْمُهِلُّ مِنَّا فَلَا يُنْكِرُ عَلَيْهِ وَيُكَبِّرُ الْمُكَبِّرُ وَلَا يُنْكِرُ عَلَيْهِ

English Translation
Abu Salamah narrated to us, Malik informed us, from Muhammad ibn Abi Bakr al-Thaqafi, that he asked Anas ibn Malik (رضي الله عنه) while they were proceeding to 'Arafah: 'What did you used to do on this day with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ?' He said: 'Among us, the one who raised his voice with the talbiyah did so, and he was not criticized; and the one who raised his voice with the takbir did so, and he was not criticized.'
