English Translation
'Affan narrated to us, Khalaf ibn Khalifah narrated to us — my father said: I saw Khalaf ibn Khalifah, and a person said to him: O Abu Ahmad, did Muharib ibn Dithar narrate to you? My father said: I could not understand his speech as he had become very old, so I left him. He narrated from Muharib ibn Dithar, from Anas ibn Malik (رضي الله عنه) that the Prophet ﷺ said: 'Help your brother, whether he is an oppressor or oppressed.' A man said: 'O Messenger of Allah, I help him if he is oppressed, but how do I help him if he is the oppressor?' He said: 'Prevent him from oppression — that is helping him.'
