حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادٌ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا ثَابِتٌ عَنْ أَنَسٍ أَنَّ رَجُلًا كَانَ يَكْتُبُ لِرَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَإِذَا أَمْلَى عَلَيْهِ سَمِيعًا يَقُولُ كَتَبْتُ سَمِيعًا بَصِيرًا قَالَ دَعْهُ وَإِذَا أَمْلَى عَلَيْهِ عَلِيمًا حَكِيمًا كَتَبَ عَلِيمًا حَلِيمًا قَالَ حَمَّادٌ نَحْوَ ذَا قَالَ وَكَانَ قَدْ قَرَأ
َ الْبَقَرَةَ وَآلَ عِمْرَانَ وَكَانَ مَنْ قَرَأَهُمَا قَدْ قَرَأَ قُرْآنًا كَثِيرًا فَذَهَبَ فَتَنَصَّرَ فَقَالَ لَقَدْ كُنْتُ أَكْتُبُ لِمُحَمَّدٍ مَا شِئْتُ فَيَقُولُ دَعْهُ فَمَاتَ فَدُفِنَ فَنَبَذَتْهُ الْأَرْضُ مَرَّتَيْنِ أَوْ ثَلَاثًا قَالَ أَبُو طَلْحَةَ وَلَقَدْ رَأَيْتُهُ مَنْبُوذًا فَوْقَ الْأَرْضِ

English Translation
'Affan narrated to us, Hammad narrated to us, Thabit informed us, from Anas (رضي الله عنه) that a man used to write for the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. When the Prophet ﷺ dictated 'Sami'an (All-Hearing)', the scribe would write 'Sami'an Basiran (All-Hearing, All-Seeing).' the Prophet ﷺ said: 'Leave it.' When he dictated 'Basiran', the scribe would write 'Sami'an Basiran.' the Prophet ﷺ said: 'Leave it.' The man said: Muhammad does not know what he dictates! So he apostatized and joined the polytheists. When he died, the earth would not accept him and kept expelling his body, so they buried him again and again, but the earth kept throwing him out.
