حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ وَبَهْزٌ قَالَا حَدَّثَنَا هَمَّامٌ حَدَّثَنَا قَتَادَةُ عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ أَنَّ رَجُلًا رُفِعَ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَدْ سَكِرَ فَأَمَرَ قَرِيبًا مِنْ عِشْرِينَ رَجُلًا فَجَلَدَهُ كُلُّ رَجُلٍ جَلْدَتَيْنِ بِالْجَرِيدِ وَالنِّعَالِ
English Translation
'Affan and Bahz narrated to us, they said: Hammam narrated to us, Qatadah narrated to us, from Anas ibn Malik (رضي الله عنه) that a man who had become intoxicated was brought before the Prophet ﷺ. He ordered approximately twenty men, and each of them struck him twice with sandals and palm stalks.
