‏ ‏حَدَّثَنَا ‏ ‏عَفَّانُ ‏ ‏وَبَهْزٌ ‏ ‏قَالَا حَدَّثَنَا ‏ ‏هَمَّامٌ ‏ ‏حَدَّثَنَا ‏ ‏قَتَادَةُ ‏ ‏عَنْ ‏ ‏أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ ‏ ‏أَنَّ رَجُلًا رُفِعَ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ ‏ ‏صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ‏ ‏قَدْ سَكِرَ ‏ ‏فَأَمَرَ قَرِيبًا مِنْ عِشْرِينَ رَجُلًا فَجَلَدَهُ كُلُّ رَجُلٍ جَلْدَتَيْنِ ‏ ‏بِالْجَرِيدِ ‏ ‏وَالنِّعَالِ ‏

English Translation

'Affan and Bahz narrated to us, they said: Hammam narrated to us, Qatadah narrated to us, from Anas ibn Malik (رضي الله عنه) that a man who had become intoxicated was brought before the Prophet ﷺ. He ordered approximately twenty men, and each of them struck him twice with sandals and palm stalks.
