English Translation
Abu al-Yaman narrated to us, Ibn Ayyash narrated to us, from Umarah ibn Ghaziyyah al-Ansari, that he heard Humayd ibn Ubayd — the freed slave of Banu al-Mu'alla — saying: I heard Thabit al-Bunani narrating from Anas ibn Malik (رضي الله عنه), from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ who said: 'No servant of Allah who dies and has good with Allah would wish to return to this world, even if he were given the entire world and everything in it, except the martyr. He wishes to return to the world so that he may be killed again, for what he sees of the honor of martyrdom.'
