حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْوَاحِدِ حَدَّثَنَا عَاصِمٌ الْأَحْوَلُ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي النَّضْرُ بْنُ أَنَسٍ وَأَن

َسٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ حَيٌّ قَالَ لَوْلَا أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ لَا يَتَمَنَّيَنَّ أَحَدُكُمْ الْمَوْتَ لَتَمَنَّيْتُهُ

English Translation
'Affan narrated to us, 'Abd al-Wahid narrated to us, 'Asim al-Ahwal narrated to us, he said: al-Nadr ibn Anas narrated to me — and Anas was alive at that time — who said: 'Were it not that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: Do not wish for death, I would have wished for it.'
