حَدَّثَنَا حُسَيْنٌ حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ رَاشِدٍ عَنْ مَك

ْحُولٍ عَنْ مُوسَى بْنِ أَنَسٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ قَالَ لَمْ يَبْلُغْ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مِنْ الشَّيْبِ مَا يَخْضِبُهُ وَلَكِنَّ أَبَا بَكْرٍ خَضَبَ رَأْسَهُ وَلِحْيَتَهُ حَتَّى يَقْنُوَ شَعْرُهُ بِالْحِنَّاءِ وَالْكَتَمِ

English Translation

Husayn narrated to us, Muhammad ibn Rashid narrated to us, from Makhul, from Musa ibn Anas, from his father who said: the Messenger of Allah ﷺ did not reach such an amount of grey hair that would require dyeing, but Abu Bakr (رضي الله عنه) dyed his head and beard with henna and katam.
