English Translation
Abdullah ibn Muhammad al-Taymi narrated to us, Hammad ibn Salamah narrated to us, from Ali ibn Zayd, from Anas ibn Malik who said: the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "Indeed Musa ibn Imran (عليه السلام), when he called upon his Lord in supplication, would say: 'O Allah, I ask You that no one praises me except with the truth, for the truest praise is that which comes from You.' So Allah revealed to him: 'O Musa, that is something I have not done for Myself, so how could I do it for you?'"
