English Translation

Abd al-Samad ibn Hassan narrated to us, Umarah informed us, from Thabit, from Anas that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ took three pebbles. He placed one down, then placed another in front of it, and threw the third aside. He said: "This is the son of Adam, this is his appointed term, and that is his hope." He reaches for his hope, but his appointed term comes to him before his hope.
