حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الصَّمَدِ حَدَّثَنَا عُمَارَةُ عَنْ زِيَادٍ النُّمَيْرِيِّ عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ قَالَ كَانَ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ رَوَاحَةَ إِذَا لَقِيَ الرَّجُلَ مِنْ أَصْحَابِهِ يَقُولُ تَعَالَ نُؤْمِنْ بِرَبِّنَا سَاعَةً فَقَالَ ذَاتَ يَوْمٍ لِرَجُلٍ فَغَضِبَ ال
رَّجُلُ فَجَاءَ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقَالَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ أَلَا تَرَى إِلَى ابْنِ رَوَاحَةَ يُرَغِّبُ عَنْ إِيمَانِكَ إِلَى إِيمَانِ سَاعَةٍ فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَرْحَمُ اللَّهُ ابْنَ رَوَاحَةَ إِنَّهُ يُحِبُّ الْمَجَالِسَ الَّتِي تُبَاهَى بِهَا الْمَلَائِكَةُ عَلَيْهِمْ السَّلَام

English Translation
Abd al-Samad narrated to us, Umarah narrated to us, from Ziyad al-Numayri, from Anas ibn Malik who said: Abdullah ibn Rawahah used to meet a man from his companions and say: 'Come, let us believe in our Lord for a moment.' One day he said that to a man, who became angry and came to the Prophet ﷺ saying: 'O Messenger of Allah, do you not see Ibn Rawahah? He turns away from your faith to a faith of an hour!' the Prophet ﷺ said: "May Allah have mercy on Ibn Rawahah! He loves the gatherings that the angels boast about."
