Hadith #46

English Translation
Hashim narrated to us, al-Mubarak narrated to us, from al-Hasan, from Anas ibn Malik (رضي الله عنه) who said: the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, when he used to deliver the Friday sermon, would lean his back against a wooden post. When the number of people increased, he said, 'Build me a minbar (pulpit).' So they built one with two steps and a seat. When the Prophet ﷺ sat on the minbar, the wooden post moaned like a pregnant she-camel. the Prophet ﷺ descended and embraced it, and it quieted. the Prophet ﷺ said, 'By the One in Whose Hand is my soul, had I not embraced it, it would have continued moaning until the Day of Resurrection.'
