Arabic Text
حَدَّثَنَا خَلَفُ بْنُ الْوَلِيدِ حَدَّثَنَا خَالِدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ عَنْ حُمَيْدٍ الطَّوِيلِ عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ أَنَّ رَجُلًا أَتَى النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَاسْتَحْمَلَهُ فَقَالَ ر
َسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِنَّا حَامِلُوكَ عَلَى وَلَدِ نَاقَةٍ قَالَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ مَا أَصْنَعُ بِوَلَدِ نَاقَةٍ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَهَلْ تَلِدُ الْإِبِلَ إِلَّا النُّوقُ
English Translation
Khalaf ibn al-Walid narrated to us, Khalid ibn Abdullah narrated to us, from Humayd al-Tawil, from Anas ibn Malik that a man came to the Prophet ﷺ and asked him for a riding mount. the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "I shall mount you on the child of a she-camel." The man said: 'O Messenger of Allah, what shall I do with the child of a she-camel?' He ﷺ said: "Are camels not born from she-camels?"
