Arabic Text
حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ زَيْدٍ عَنْ
أَنَسٍ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ رَأَيْتُ فِيمَا يَرَى النَّائِمُ كَأَنِّي مُرْدِفٌ كَبْشًا وَكَأَنَّ ظُبَةَ سَيْفِي انْكَسَرَتْ فَأَوَّلْتُ أَنِّي أَقْتُلُ صَاحِبَ الْكَتِيبَةِ وَأَنَّ رَجُلًا مِنْ أَهْلِ بَيْتِي يُقْتَلُ

English Translation
Affan narrated to us, Hammad ibn Salamah narrated to us, from Ali ibn Zayd, from Anas that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "I saw in a dream that I was riding a ram, and the blade of my sword had broken. I interpreted the ram as the leader of a battalion, and the breaking of my sword's blade as the killing of a man from my household." He ﷺ killed the leader of the battalion, and Hamzah (رضي الله عنه) was killed.
