English Translation
Affan narrated to us, Hammad, meaning Ibn Salamah, narrated to us, Thabit informed us, from Anas ibn Malik that a man said: 'O Messenger of Allah, when will the Hour be?' There was a young boy from the Ansar with him, called Muhammad. He ﷺ said: "If this boy lives, he will not grow old before the Hour comes to you." Meaning their own hour [death], not the greater Hour.
